Severstal – Bar Works Balakovo has accepted the basic engineering and started constructing a line to produce briquettes.
ATM (Austria) is supplying the machinery.
Construction and assembly work is currently underway.
The delivery of the main machinery is expected in December.
“The technique to produce briquettes by pressing will give us hard, solid briquettes without inner oxidation. Their usage will help decrease area to stock metal scrap, improve quality of the furnace operation and decrease the time of scrap loading”, the company CEO Artem Akinfiev said.
Investments in the project reach 145 million rubles.
The manufacture of the first briquettes is scheduled for H1 2019. (Ukrainian metal)
