Norilsk Nickel is negotiating with the Chinese partners the choice of the site for Bystrinsky Mining and Processing Works IPO.

“Our partners see Hong Kong or Shanghai as the site, while we want Moscow or London”, Nornickel president Vladimir Potanin said.

The issue will be discussed in autumn 2019, when the GOK reaches its design capacity.

The Bystrinsky GOK, commissioned in autumn 2017, cost $1.5 billion.

Its capacity is 3 million tons of magnetite concentrate, 260 thousand tons of copper concentrate and 252 thousand troy ounces of gold per year. (Ukrainian metal)
