A new MMK sintering factory will have two unique sinter machines with no analogues in Russia.
At present the company is assembling metal structures for the main premises and the buildings of the factory as well as machinery.
The new machines will have a sintering area of 300 square meters at each sinter belt, with the height of the layer of 700 mm. The sinter factory No. 4, which will be decommissioned when the factory No. 5 is put into operation, has the sintering area of 95.4 square meters and the height of the layer of 280-290 mm.
“The new project will considerably decrease harmful impact on the environment: dust emission will drop by 490 tons per year, and sulfur dioxide – by 3280 tons”, MMK chairman Victor Rashnikov said. (Ukrainian metal)
