Belarus Iron and Steel Works intends to commission a new gas and dust extraction system in 2019.

According to the company information, investments in the project will exceed $13.5 million.

55% of funds have already been used.

WaterGroup Ltd. (Finland) has supplied all the necessary equipment.

To assemble the system, the electric furnace No. 3 will have to be shut down for some 120 days. This is scheduled for April 2019.

The capacity of the extraction system will exceed 1.3 million cubic meters per hour as opposed to 600 thousand cubic meters at present.

BMZ operates 3 gas and dust extraction machines. In 9 months the company has spent $1.3 million on their repair and maintenance, including $600 thousand on the purchase of filters. (Ukrainian metal)
