In August deliveries of scrap to Ukrainian metal companies dropped by 5% MoM, to 257 thousand tons.
Scrap needs in August were 89% covered.
At the same time scrap exports grew 2.7-fold MoM, to 19 thousand tons.
In August scrap procuring companies prepared 276 thousand tons of scrap, down by 2%.
In 8 months Ukraine procured 2.46 million tons of scrap, up by 4% YoY. Local customers received 2.16 million tons, up by 2%, while exports grew by 17%, to 0.3 million tons.
