On September 7 Electrozinc shut down its zinc manufacture to carry out annual repairs.
Until the end of the month all the machinery will be checked, cleaned and repaired.
Some 1 thousand employees are participating in the work, both contractors and shop workers.
The main object of the repair is the sulfur acid shop.
The preparation for the repair began in March. Since then the schedules of the repair have been created for each shop, and some 30 tenders to select contractors have been carried out.
This year repair expenses are estimated at 50 million rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
