Novocherkassk Electrode Works has commissioned a new pitch impregnation line.
According to the company managing director Yevgeniy Churikov, this will allow decreasing the capacity of grafitized electrode manufacture 2-fold.
The modern autoclaves’ pressure on pitch is 40% higher than in the existing machinery, which makes the structure of the electrodes more solid.
The cost of the project is 172 million rubles.
In 2017 the share of NEZ on the world market of grafitized electrodes totaled 4%, and on the Russian market – 43%. (Ukrainian metal)
