Vostoc Engineering LLC has finished prospecting works at the Burannyi site of the Tomtorskoye deposits in Yakutia and in autumn will start designing the plant.
In late 2021 the company intends to start daylighting and in 2022 – commercial production.
Tomtorskoye is one of the largest rare earth metals deposits in the world. Its resources are estimated at 154 million tons of ore with the niobium oxide contents of 6.71%, yttrium – 0.6%, scandium – 0.0048% and terbium – 9.53%. (Ukrainian metal)
