In June Amur region mined the 550-millionth ton of coal.
The region started mining coal in 1932, while prospecting works were carried out as far back as 1909.
In 86 years of operation, 28 coal pits have been commissioned.
In Particular, the Severo-Viostochniy pit was put into operation in 1932. It now mines over 1 million tons of coal per year. In January-April it increased coal output by 63 thousand tons YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
