In January-May Ukraine produced 7.72 million tons of rolled metal, up by 11% YoY.
Some 6.43 million tons, or 83.2%, were exported.
Domestic customers received 1841.8 thousand tons of rolled metal, including 545.8 thousand tons, or 29.6%, imported. In January-May 2017 the share of imported rolled metal was 27.3%.
Semi-finished products accounted for 42.2% of the total exports. The share of flat rolled metal was 34% and bars – 23.8%.
The main export destinations were EU (34.8%), Africa (15.8%), other European countries, including Turkey (13.1%) and the Near East (11.4%). (Ukrainian metal)
