In January-May Chukotka Autonomous District yielded 9.813 tons of gold, down by 5.8% YoY.
At present, because of the weather conditions only ore gold is extracted in the region.
Silver output dropped by 14.6%, to 49.117 tons.
In January-April the leader in precious metals mining was the Chukotka Mining and Geological Company. At its Kupol 3 deposits the company extracted 222.4 kg of gold and 31.4 tons of silver. (Ukrainian metal)
