In 2017 MMK sold 3.22 million tons of hot-rolled metal, with some 60% supplied to Russian pipe companies.
According to MMK senior region sales manager Andrei Golitsyn, the main customers are Seversky Pipe Works, Uraltrubprom and Almetyevsky Pipe Works.
Last year Ural Federal District accounted for around 55% of all sales, with Privolzhsky for 30% and Siberia – 10%.
In 2018 MMK intends to master the manufacture of corrosion-resistant hot-rolled steel with the thickness of 12-18 mm.
MMK own pipe manufacture is relatively small – last year the company produced 47.3 thousand tons of pipes, including 11.4 thousand tons of galvanized pipes. In late 2017 the company started manufacturing casing welded pipes. (Ukrainian metal)
