The department of the Eastern office of the State Audit Service in Donetsk region says it is impossible to carry out inspections of the state enterprise Selidovugol because of the miners’ strike, who demand their salary debts to be cleared.
In late 2016 Selidovugol purchased foodstuffs from VF Corner-Pak LLC. Because the activists suspected that the purchase was carried out at too high prices, they applied to the State Audit Service for the check.
With the second attempt the service has included the state enterprise into its annual revision list.
The check started on December 28, 2017, but the next day it was suspended because of other control goals.
The revision had to be resumed on February 19, but the state enterprise informed of the complex social situation – because of the salary debts the miners went on a strike. They have closed all the roads to the enterprise and blocked the administration premises. The management said it could not provide the auditors with all the necessary documents and create safe conditions for operation.
Having taken the warning into account, the auditors have compiled a paper on the impossibility of carrying out a revision. (Ukrainian metal)
