In January-April Magadan region mined 261.8 thousand tons of coal, up almost 2-fold YoY.
The increase has to do with the scheduled growth of output at the Kolyma Coal Company, which became the leader in coalmining.
Two more companies are operating in the region – Association of business cooperation LLC and North-Eastern Coal Company LLC.
This year the region intends to mine 345 thousand tons of coal.
Last year Kolyma Coal Company mined 242.8 thousand tons of coal, Association of business cooperation – 88.1 thousand tons, while North-Eastern Coal Company did not mine for coal at all. (Ukrainian metal)
