Energomashspetsstal is finishing the project to produce billets for the Akkuya Nuclear Power Plant (Turkey) first power block machinery.
This year the total weight of deliveries under the contract has reached 650 tons.
The last billets will be sent in late May.
Among the total list of products a large drum shell could be highlighted. It was made of the 415-ton ingot. The uniqueness of the product is its size: diameter of 4.6 m, height of 5.3 m and weight of 119.5 tons.
Now instead of two shells and a multipass weld the NPP will have one complete shell, which will increase the quality and the durability of the reactor. (Ukrainian metal)
