This year Zaporizhstal intends to produce over 4 million tons of pig iron and steel.
“Pig iron manufacture will see the growth of some 15% and steel – around 3.5%”, the company CEO Rostislav Shurma said.
Rolled metal output is expected to increase by 5%, to 3.7-3.8 million tons.
Pig iron output has considerably increased thanks to the capital repairs of the blast furnace No. 3.
In 2017 Zaporizhstal produced 3.795 million tons of pig iron, 3.926 million tons of steel and 3.214 million tons of rolled metal, up by 5.4%, 0.9%, but down by 4.6% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
