From April the arc furnace shop No. 2 of Zlatoust Electrometallurgical Works intends to increase smelting volumes by a third – with the help of one more arc furnace with the volume of 12 tons and the project capacity of 27 thousand tons of steel per year.
Previously the company used only 2 furnaces, with the combined monthly output of some 3.8 thousand tons of liquid steel.
The commissioning of another arc furnace will increase output to some 5 thousand tons per month. (Ukrainian metal)
