During his working trip to the South Kazakhstan region the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev has visited the first company in the region to produce steel blooms – Shymkent Temir.
The company will operate 40-ton induction furnaces and triple-strand continuous casting machine.
The plant will be commissioned in April. All the products manufactured will be exported to the nearby foreign countries.
Investments in the project totaled 4.85 billion tenge ($15 million). 150 jobs will be created.
The capacity of the plant is 240 thousand tons of blooms per year. (Ukrainian metal)
