The state enterprise Ukrpromvneshexpertisa forecasts that in February deliveries of ferrous metals scrap to metal companies will decrease by 4.55% MoM, or by 10 thousand tons, to 210 thousand tons.
According to the enterprise deputy director Yuri Dobrovolsky, last month traders and procurers tried to faster unload their warehouses in order not to sell scrap at lower prices in future.
In January scrap deliveries dropped by 12% MoM, to 220 thousand tons.
As of February 1, scrap stocks at metal companies totaled 55 thousand tons, down by 12% YoY. But during the month they will grow to 65 thousand tons because of the decrease in steel output. (Ukrainian metal)
