According to the customs statistics, in 2017 Russia decreased ferrous metals exports by 2.2% YoY, to 42.4 million tons, valued at $18.76 billion, up by 33%.

The share of metal exports to far foreign countries grew to 10.2% from 9.8%. Export volumes dropped by 2%, but increased by 28.8% money-wise.

Aluminum exports decreased by 4.3%, semi-finished products – by 5.5%, pig iron – by 6.3%, and ferroalloys – by 6.5%. At the same time copper and copper alloys exports grew by 16.2%.

CIS share in the metal exports was 12.2% (11.7%), with volume up by 11% and revenue by 31.7%.

Ferrous metals increased by 11.1%, ferroalloys – by 56.8%, and semi-finished products – by 12.7%. (Ukrainian metal)
