The Bryansk region is carrying out its project to produce tungsten and molybdenum powder.
The Unecha Works of Refractory Metals LLC intends in 4 years to start producing molybdenum fillets, artificial sheelite and tungsten oxide.
The construction of the works in the region started in 2007. The first stage with the capacity of 500 tons per year was completed in 2011. The second stage was commissioned in 2012. Investments were estimated at $15 million.
Last autumn the company and the regional authorities decided to increase output, with investments on the level of 1.28 billion rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
