The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine announced TOP-100 major taxpayers of Ukraine in 2017, where PJSC ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih took one of the leading positions

Last year 100 major taxpayers increased their payments to the state budget by 21.6% YoY, to UAH 258.3 billion.

PJSC ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih took the first place among other Ukrainian steelmaking companies by the amount of paid taxes and dues. Last year the budget received UAH 2.9 billion as the company’s direct tax payments, out of which UAH 2 billion – tax payments to the state budget (including UAH 217 million of ecology tax) and UAH 869 million – to the local budgets. Direct payments to Kriviy Rih municipal budget were UAH 854 million: almost UAH 314 million of the land fee, UAH 5 million of the real estate tax and over UAH 535 million of employment taxes.

Moreover, the company paid UAH 614 million of single social contribution and almost UAH 4.2 billion of VAT while importing raw materials and inventories.

Therefore, in 2017 the total of the company’s payments to the budget and extrabudgetary trust funds increased by 22% YoY, from UAH 6.3 billion to UAH 7.7 billion. The amount of payments increased mainly due to profits tax and VAT for import. Also, last year the total of single social contribution increased by more than UAH 59 million due to increase of payroll fund. Since May 2017 the salary of the company’s employees has increased by 70%.
