In 2017 Izhstal carried out a program of environment protection. Investments exceeded 76 million rubles.
In particular, the company has finished the main part of its environment project on switching the 850 rolling mill water supply system into the recursive cycle, which would allow it to decrease industrial effluents more than 2-fold. At present the company is commissioning new pipelines and pump stations. The cost of the project is over 20 million rubles.
In 10 years the company has decreased wastewater volumes 3-fold. Air pollution has decreased 8-fold. (Ukrainian metal)
