Rusal and Energoprom have signed a 5-year contract for the delivery of cathode blocks at the volume of 21.5 thousand tons per year.
According to the agreement, in 2018-2022 Energoprom will cover up to 70% of Rusal aluminum works needs in carbon-graphite raw materials. The products will be supplied from Novosibirsk Electrode Works.
“This is the first long-term contract in the 40-year history of our cooperation”, Energoprom CEO Victor Nechuyatov said.
Cathode blocks are the necessary component in the aluminum manufacture. (Ukrainian metal)
