ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has finished the construction of the first stage of the Centralnoye tailings pond.
According to the company statement, the pond is used to store empty ore and processing waste.
The volume of the pond is 13.8 million cubic meters.
The project cost is $10.7 million.
AMKR also uses two more tailings ponds – Mirolyubovskoye and Obyedinennoye. (Ukrainian metal)
