Mechel has signed a memorandum for the delivery of coal to one of the largest cement manufacturers in the world – Jidong Cement (China).
According to the document, Mechel will supply up to 3 million tons of energy-generating coal mined at the Elga and Neryungrinsky pits.
The price will be determined each month.
“Jidong Cement is our long-time partner in the Asian region. Mechel has fulfilled all its obligations under the previous similar agreement. Today Jidong Cement is the main foreign customer of Elga energy coal”, Mechel CEO Oleg Korzhov said. (Ukrainian metal)
