Around 200 miners of ArcelorMittal Temirtau refused to return to the surface and remained in the shaft.

“Some 200 miners of the fourth (night) shift form 4 mines did not return from underground after their shift. This is an unsanctioned action, as the miners have made no claims neither to the mines management, nor to the AMT administration”, the company reported.

Other mines are operating in normal mode.

ArcelorMittal Temirtau owns 8 mines on the territory of Karaganda region: Abayskaya, Saranskaya, Kazakhstanskaya, Tentekskaya, named after Lenin, Shakhtinskaya, named after Kuzembayev and named after Kostenko. (Ukrainian metal)
