In January-October Severstal supplied around 400 thousand tons of metal to Russian and CIS automobile manufacturers, up by 21% YoY.

In particular, Russia-based plants received 300 thousand tons of metal, up by 7% YoY.

“According to our estimates, the demand for steel in Russian automobile industry in 2017 will increased by 9-12% YoY, and next year by 10%”, Severstal Management sales director Evgeny Chernyakov said.

Deliveries to automobile manufacturers in the CIS countries increased 2-fold YoY, to 95 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
