Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Combine has completed the capital repairs of its blast furnace No. 9, at present it is operating 3 blast furnaces.
According to the company statement, since the blast furnace has been commissioned after repairs (October 27) and as of November 13, it has produced 24.536 thousand tons of pig iron.
“The blast furnace is operating in accordance with the manufacturing schedule”, the company said.
Before the BF3 shut down the works produced some 8 thousand tons of pig iron per day. When the BF3 was shut down the output dropped to 5 thousand tons. Now DMK produces around 7 thousand tons of pig iron per day. (Ukrainian metal)
