The commissioning of the new ladle furnace will allow the ArcelorMittal Temirtau converter shop to reach a higher slab and square billet output.
“When the third ladle furnace is commissioned, we will remove all the limitations and will be able to increase steel output to 5 million tons per year by 2020”, the company said.
The construction will soon commence. At present the construction site is being prepared. The commissioning of the ladle furnace is scheduled for late Q2 2018. Investments in the project total $21 million. (Ukrainian metal)
