This year KazZinc intends to produce 320 thousand tons of zinc.
“Our capacity is 295 thousand tons, but we produce 302-305 thousand tons. This year we believe we could produce 320 thousand tons, by slightly adjusting the technology”, the company CEO Alexander Khmelev said.
In 2016 KazZinc produced 305.5 thousand tons of zinc, thus this year the growth will be 4.7%.
The company also plans to increase lead output.
“This year we will produce some 150 thousand tons of lead, but next year we plan to produce 180 thousand tons, which will be a total record, as our capacity is 165 thousand tons”, Khmelev noted. (Ukrainian metal)
