In January-September Pobuzhye Ferronickel Plant processed 946.5 thousand tons of ore, down by 14% YoY.

According to the company CEO Oleg Bespaly, ferronickel output decreased by 12.8% YoY, to 54.1 thousand tons, or 11.5 thousand tons of raw nickel, down by 18.1%.

The output decrease has to do with a major repair campaign. In particular, the company has repaired the rotary tube-type furnace No. 4 and the ore-thermal furnace No. 1.

“We also had slight delays with ore delivery from Guatemala”, Bespaly said.

In 2017 the company intends to process 1.362 million tons of ore and obtain 75.8 thousand tons of ferronickel or 16.3 thousand tons of raw nickel. (Ukrainian metal)
