The shareholders of Norilsk Nickel have approved paying 224.2 rubles per share, or a total of 35.479 billion rubles in dividends for January-June, the company said in a statement on October 2.
The record date for the dividends is October 19.
In 2016, the company paid no dividends for January-June, but paid 444.25 rubles per share totaling 70.3 billion rubles in dividends for January-September, and 446.1 rubles per share – a total of 70.593 billion rubles – in final dividends for the year.
Major shareholders of Norilsk Nickel include Interros of tycoon Vladimir Potanin with a 30.3% stake, aluminum giant UC RUSAL of Oleg Deripaska with 27.8%, and Crispian Investments of Roman Abramovich with 4.95%. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
