The Belarus Iron and Steel Works has been granted the strategic supplier status by the top Russian tire manufacturer Cordiant, BMZ Press Secretary Alexander Olesik reported.
The relevant certificate was presented to BMZ representatives during the Supplier’s Day conference in the Russian city of Yaroslavl when the 15th anniversary since the tire maker was established was celebrated.
Since its establishment Cordiant has been using BMZ steel wire cord to make tires. The strategic supplier status confirms not only the high quality of BMZ products. It also confirms the Belarusian company’s constant readiness to work with consumers using systemic integration principles and pursuing a coordinated business policy through reliance on the already available technology.
In H1 BMZ exported steel wire cord and wire to 27 countries. In November the company will celebrate the 30th anniversary since wire manufacturing began in Belarus. Since the company’s steel wire manufacturing facility was commissioned in 1987, it has mastered the production of over 100 metal wire cord types, 20 types of bead wire, and over 40 types of wire for high-pressure hoses with various durability and various diameters ranging from 0.15 mm to 0.80 mm.
Established in 1984, BMZ is the managing company of the holding company Belarusian Metallurgical Company. BMZ produces cast sections, long and rolled products, reinforcing bars, pipes, metal cord, high-pressure wire, and other sorts of wire. BMZ sells over 80% of the products abroad.
