Chusovskoy Iron and Steel Works, a part of OMK, has begun an investment project on the construction of a new mill to produce spring billets.
The project will decrease import dependence and increase the company capacities to produce few-leaf springs.
The capacity of the new mill will be over 5.7 thousand tons of spring billets per year, increasing the company capacities by 50%.
The mill will be constructed in the metal-processing shop, which already operates 4 mills. Investments will total 200 million rubles.
Assembly will commence in 2018, and the mill will be put into operation in 2019. (Ukrainian metal)
