Ukzaliznytsia can still improve its financial efficiency, Zaporizhstal CEO Rostislav Shurma believes, commenting on the renewed financial plan of the company for 2017.
“Instead of the expected increase in efficiency, fight with corruption and as the result the optimization of expenses, I saw the growth of expenses by 10 billion UAH. And to cover them they want to raise tariffs by 20%”, he said.
Zaporizhstal CEO hopes that the new Ukrzaliznytsia management will be able to introduce changes to the financial plan to avoid tariff rising.
“I am not personally familiar with the new Ukrzaliznytsia chairman, but I hope he will not follow in the footsteps of his predecessors. I am prepared to share my experience with him”, Shurma added. (Ukrainian metal)
