In July Russia produced 5.585 million tons of steel, down by 8% YoY (5.341 million tons in June). In January-July steel output dropped by 0.5% YoY, to 40.925 million tons.

Ukraine produced 1.81 million tons of steel, down by 12.9% YoY (1.593 million tons in June), and 12.314 million tons in 7 months, down by 15%.

In July Kazakhstan increased steel output by 11.8% YoY, to 380 thousand tons (410 thousand tons in June). In January-July steel output increased by 10.8% YoY, to 2.695 million tons.

Belarus decreased steel output by 4.8% YoY, to 180 thousand tons (205 thousand tons in June), but increased by 4.7% YoY, to 1.313 million tons in 7 months.

Uzbekistan steel output in July dropped by 4.8% YoY, to 60 thousand tons (the same in June), and by 3.5% YoY, to 391 thousand tons in January-July.

Moldova in July produced 30 thousand tons, the same in June, and with no output in July 2016. In 7 months the country produced 156 thousand tons of steel, up by 183.6% YoY.

All in all CIS countries in July produced 8.09 million tons, down by 7.9% YoY (7.639 million tons in June), and 57.794 million tons in 7 months, down by 3.3% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
