In late 2017 Velta intends to start constructing the mining and processing complex on the basis of Lekarevskoye titanium ores deposits in Kirovograd region in case it gets the license from the State Service of Geology and Subsoil Use.
The Kirovograd regional council on August 22 approved of granting the company the right to use the deposits. The site is 6 km away from the Birzulovsky mining and processing complex of the company and will increase its capacities.
“If the giving of all permissions goes on as it does now, we will begin the construction later this year and we plan to finish it in 8 months. Lekarevsky GOK will create 400 jobs in addition to 600 at Birzulovsky GOK”, Velta CEO Andrei Brodsky said. (Ukrainian metal)
