Coal mining in January-July decreased by 6.9% YoY, to 21.05 million tons.
According to the Ministry of energy and coal industry, state mines yielded 2.8 million tons of coal, down by 21.7% YoY.
In July Ukraine mined 2.6 million tons of coal, with state mines yielding only 390 thousand tons.
DTEK Dobropolyeugol increased output by 18.6%, to 1.4 million tons, and DTEK Pavlogradugol – by 12.7%, to 11.4 million tons.
In 2016 Ukraine mined 40.86 million tons of coal, up by 2.8% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
