In January-June the share of metal and metal wares in the total export volumes to the far foreign countries reached 9.9% from 9.8% in H1 2016.
The value of the exports increased by 30.8%, while their volume dropped by 3.9%.
According to the Federal Customs Service, pig iron exports fell by 15.5%, aluminum – by 7.4%, steel semi-finished products – by 3.6%. At the same time exports of copper and copper alloys increased by 13.7%, ferroalloys – 11.3%, flat rolled metal – by 6.6%.
Metal share in exports to CIS countries increased to 12% from 11.6%. Their value increased by 31.2% YoY, volume – by 9.1%. In particular, ferrous metals exports increased by 9.1%, ferroalloys – 2-fold, steel semis – by 48.1%, and flat rolled metal by 18.6%. (Ukrainian metal)
