Chervonograd city council has addressed the president, the prime minister and the minister of energy and coal industry informing them on the difficult situation of miners at the state enterprise Lvivugol and the salary payment problems.

“The Lvivugol miners are facing a very difficult situation because of the unstable payment of salary. This situation has for 2 years been keeping the miners in social tension, which could result in the uncontrollable protests”, the address said.

To stabilize the situation and prevent protests local authorities ask the government to clear salary debts for June and July.

On August 4, the Ministry of Finances has approved the provision of 31 million UAH for Lvivugol. All the money will be spent on paying 87% of the June salary. (Ukrainian metal)
