Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service will toughen control over coal producers’ registration of over-the-counter sales of steam coal, the service said in a statement on August 2.

The service said citing Deputy Head Anatoly Golomolzin that the failure of companies to duly register the deals prevented the market from forming a liquid price index for steam coal, which restrained development of the market. The service will impose administrative penalties on companies that violate the ruling, Golomolzin said. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
