This year Bratsk Aluminum Works will spend around 1.2 billion rubles on the environment program.
According to the company managing director Evgeniy Zenkin, some 1 billion rubles will be spent on air pollution decrease – the company will continue modernizing gas-purifying machinery.
“An important part of the program is the procurement, processing and secondary usage of industrial wastes. This stage will receive 100 million rubles. We are also financing the project of relocating the Chekanovsky settlement dwellers. Since this work started we have contributed over 1 billion rubles to the cause. Construction of 408 flats has been financed, with 346 families relocated”, he said. (Ukrainian metal)
