On May 12 miners of the Zaporozhye Iron Ore Complex mined the 160-millionth ton of ore.
According to the company statement, the 150-millionth ton was mined 2 years ago, on February 20, 2015.
“The yield of the 160-millionth ton of ore by the Ekspluatatsionnaya and Prokhodcheskaya mines is an event that will forever be written in the history of the Zaporozhye Iron Ore Complex. And even though the employees of both mines played the major part in the event, we should not underestimate the contribution of all other structural divisions”, the company CEO Mikhail Korolenko said.
