In January-March the Pipe Metal Company sold 850 thousand tons of pipes to customers, up by 0.6% YoY.
According to the company statement, seamless pipes sales increased by 16.7%, to 658 thousand tons thanks to the stable demand form oil-and-gas companies. Welded pipes sales dropped by 31.8%, to 192 thousand tons, mostly because of the considerable demand decrease for LDP.
OCTG pipes sales increased by 36.7%, to 426 thousand tons because of the increase in drilling works in Russia and US, with sales by the American division of TMK up almost 3-fold.
Premium quality joints sales went up by 80.6%, to 187 thousand pieces.
TMK expects seamless pipes consumption in the oil-and-gas industry on the local market to remain high, while LDP pipes demand will be low. (Ukrainian metal)
