In 2016 Chelyabinsk Pipe Works sold 1.735 million tons of pipes, down by 16% YoY.

The group explains the decrease with the change in supply time to Gazprom and the drop of demand from the traditional pipe consumers.

Local ChTPZ sales dropped by 20% YoY, to 1450 thousand tons, while exports grew by 31%, to 263 thousand tons.

“The increase in exports was due to the participation in the Nord Stream-2 project, the increase of the company share on MENA markets, as well as the improvements in sales in USA, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan”, the company said.

Last year ChTPZ revenue decreased by 9% YoY, to 135 billion rubles, with net profits up by 5%, to 6357 million rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
