On April 6, Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works started blowing-in of its blast furnace No. 9, but on April 10, had to shut it down once more.

The first time DMK had to shut down because of the lack of coke, used to be supplied by the Alchevsk Coke Plant from the uncontrolled territory.

On April 6, DMK started blowing-in of the BF9, and according to mass media, on April 9, it was put into operation and produced 1.8 thousand tons of pig iron. (Ukrainian metal)
