Scientists at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Novosibirsk state technical university have developed a new technology to make titanium-tantalum alloys.

As the result they have received a highly corrosion-resistant material, which is only slightly damaged by the aggressive environment.

A pilot chemical mini-reactor has been constructed using this technology. After experiments, the term of constant operation of a reactor from such material would have reached 30 years, several times more than of that from steel. (Ukrainian metal)
