Norilsk Nickel is ready to study the offer on the Udokan deposits development in the Zabaikalie region, but the company has not received such an offer.
“We have no offers so far. If we get any, we’ll discuss it”, the company CEO Vladimir Potanin said.
The Udokan deposits is one of the largest copper deposits in the world. The mining works to be constructed there will be able to process 36 million tons of ore per year. The Udokan reserves are estimated at 2.3 billion tons with the average copper content of 1.06%. (Ukrainian metal)
