Taking into account the current market situation Evraz will not resume work on its Yuzhny stan (Southern Mill) project of the construction of a rolling mill in Rostov region.
“We need some time to watch over the market situation, and in case there is an increase in demand in the southern regions, we might return to the project”, the company president Alexander Frolov said.
The project capacity of Yuzhny stan was expected to reach 0.45 million tons per year, with 0.315 million tons of rebars for construction and 0.136 million tons of angles and channel. (Ukrainian metal)
